ok, i have and alpine IDA-X300 head unit, alpine Type S components like these (
http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/alpine-sps171a-17cm-components-speaker-p-3526.html )
i will be buying a new sub soon and have a range of amplifiers.
i have an alpine mrv-f300s 4ch, (freeby

)
an alpine Mrv-t802-dx class D 2ch,
a boss sound 1000w 4ch black thing (the ones after the purple chocolate bar ones) dont laugh it its the best working amp i have,
and a longmill pharoah 004 6ch amp (its crap so lets not bother with that one, free to collector)
right, so i want to power a 12" sub and my components, the 2 ch alpine seems to get upset when running subs, and the alpine 4ch seems to get upset when working with other amps.
untill recently i have had the alpine 2ch running the components (because it was happy doing so) and the 4ch boss sound running the subs.. it sounded not too bad imo..
since i got rid of the subs ready for a single 10 or 12 i have taken the alpine 2 ch away and run the comps off the boss 4ch using channel 3 + 4 and in all fairness its sounds quite good and i have another 2 channels to bridge and run a sub off. gains are all the way down on the amp as there is some sort of distortion if i crank it up so was wondering if it was the amp clipping or the speakers distorting.
so left me wondering, should i run the comps of the boss 4ch in bridged mode to run the comps (using ch 1+2 and ch 3+4) and run the sub off the alpine 2ch if it feels up to it?...
im trying to get the best crystal clear sound i can get with what i got, i am going to spend what i can afford on the sub as the ones i have are cacky sh!te..
any advice?...
