i too have a mk2 8v 3dr in tornado red. trying to get it somewhere looking like yours. so far i have only really done my exhaust, big bumper conversion and sourced a set of Ronal LS's.

After a good couple of months off of the road I finally got round to doing something on the mk2. Have been working like hell to raise some funds towards it, some of it from the overdraft at the moment but should be able to pay it off over the summer

I've been slowly collecting parts again to sort the headgasket woes out. Decided to rebuild the top end so sourced a rebuilt cylinder head, and a massive box of associated parts from VWspares. Work done includes valve guides, stem seals etc etc and a genuine waterpump.
I toyed with the idea of doing the work myself but chickened out in the end and a got a VW specialist in on the case . While it was in for the head work, I thought I'd make use of the 4 post ramp there so the exhaust was upgraded to a Jetex 3 box system as the old one was past it's best. Undecided on it yet; I'm not sure if it's a tad chav but it sounds ok. Not too loud but noticeably louder over a stock one. The 2 box one must be a canon! Was also disappointed with the Powerflex exhaust mounts as one snapped on the first outing
