Remember guys - the other issue was that his g/f is scared of it all happening again if he keeps the car - so its not as easy as just keeping the car, its also a matter of making the g/f feel secure.

Can't help with that one - my Wife is just as focussed about this type of thing as I am.

Dan - I used to Valet before going into teaching so i know i would get it back and spend 2 days making it mine again. The point of the house is a good one.

It comes down to the GF... for once im actually thinking about her!!! Davoaj will back me up on that hehe

Time will tell and in the mean time i can save up £50 a week from the lack of petrol

Again cheers for the response im really struggling, know i will bee 100% sure what to do when i see it tomorrow hopefully.

Hope it all goes well for you Chris, and you end up making the decision that suits you both best.

By the description if the damage, it sounds like they were just after a car to get high in. Easy opportunity.

Glad the car is back though, get it sorted and enjoy it again.

Got to second that opinion. If it wasnt used for anything purposeful, then it seems like your car was a relatively easy target tbh. Could they see the keys from outside??

My house was locked and blinds drawn when they came in, no alarm on the house (when it went) so easy target really

my car should hopefully be collected today and took to the garage for repairing, i have requested to be with the car when its assessed.

The garage told me that was standard procedure by themselves on all stolen vehicles.

Now i know im going to be picky but is it worth taking photographs of the car with me or is this being stupid?

Any help is much appreciated

Chris

Yes, take photos - it cant hurt, and at least you have evidence if you ever need it.
