Now as you all know I fitted my boost gauge today but left the wiring. I have two wires one going to earth and one going to the dimmer switch.

So i'm guessing the earth ones just goes to a metal chassis part or does it connect into another loom? And where abouts does the one going into the dimming switch do i have to cut a wire and put a scotchblock in or similar :S Couldn't find any guides that covered it!

I'm useless with electrics.

Thanks
Tim

tim the earth wire connects to a common point under the dash there are some earths there and iirc there is a spare connection that vw kindly left   use this for the earth and the one to the dimmer switch which is iirc the blue/grey wire either solder in or use a scotch lock hth

why don't you ask me nicely and I'll open this package with your loom in and I'll solder on 2 wires for your boost gauge connection before it gets sent to you
