Done 442mile round trip in my mk2. 8v,was a bit worried but car done the trip easily :smiley:159k on the clock and drove really well :smiley:and got 48.6mpg :laugh:

Fitted a blue drivers side mirror as the old one was clear  :laugh: fitted a set of silver indicator bulbs to finally get rid of the fried egg look at the front and cut away the air intake duct behind the front grille to open it out more

Painted my brake calipers yesterday and started lacquering my bbs ;) nearly done

well mot passed but it did split a brake hose whilst being tested (I have goodridge fitted but it seems they have rubbed somewhere! It's lucky I stock some of there kits!), so 1 new hose later and she's ready for another 12 months!

Managed to hit the passenger door mirror  :angry: so that mishap cost £65 from vw for a new cover and glass got it painted up  :laugh: also collected an oil filter and oil pick up pipe,waiting for the sump and oil to turn up then i can replace this knackered sump!

Enjoyed my commute and some sprited B road antics.
Booked it in for 5k oil+filter, fitment of poly bush dog-bone I made up and the 2nd installment of rattly exhaust fix.
