Found the cause of my knocking under the car since fitting the dogbone mount bush  exhaust hangers cracked away from pipe on the centre section so ended up fitting a new centre section and hangers all sorted and as good as new and no more knocks :afro:

Changed a CV boot only to discover the real issue.. mullered CV joint!!

took about an hour of hammering with a punch to get it out.. splines are worn

Thankfully only £23 from euro parts  for a new cv joint kit

also discovered just how much I hate those stupid clips that go round em.. even bought the friggin tool for them and they are STILL  a pain!! just can't get them to close tightly in a simple manner  :undecided:

Be changing the CV joint over on friday.. threads on it are ruined so its gotta go! probably for the best, as i don't know how long the boot was split for but the grease inside was green

Replaced drivers side rear light.

Booked it in for MOT on Friday.

Considered buying a touch up kit for the rusty arch.

Looked up current price of scrap.
