Poor lad. That is really bad of Seat. I can see where they are coming from to an extent, but you would have thought that they would have some f*cking heart!!!!!!

Lets just hope that the same does not happen with any of us!

Surely what Seat are doing is denying him of his own personal rights to modify a vehicle?!?!??

Or is it because he had outstanding finance on the car that the modifications breach that contract, and therefore if he cannot pay it, they have to declare the car as their property?

....I'm afraid that you are likely to find that they are totally within their rights as you don't actually own the car - You are leasing it and it remains their property until the arrangement is completed. It's fair enough that they have a say in what you do to their property and how you affect it's value.

At the mo my car is on finance too but I intend on paying it back sooner so I can own outright. Hence no mods on the car until then, which'll hopefully be in 10-12 months time.

I've heard of some dealers not twitching when Revo remaps have been mentioned. Is VWUK likely to be in the same boat as SEAT uk? Especially given that they're all part of VAG?

This is also one of the reasons I had against buying a mkv. If I bought a mkiv GTI, I could get it serviced locally for a cheaper rate and still be able to modify it without hassle.
