Need help fitting speakers and sub...
« on: 28 October 2008, 15:09 »
In Stoke-on-Trent, stereo (kenwood) needs coming out and wiring up properly, plus 2 door speakers and 2 speakers to be mounted in the parcel shelf and big sub in the boot.

If you can help, beer, food, drugs, money all offered lol!

It's not that hard, basic GCSE level science should cover the amount of wiring involved in plumbing this lot into a MKII Golf. The worst part is removing and refitting trim to route the cables.

If I tried to do it myself, armed with a screwdriver, cigarette and can of beer, what is the percentage chance that I would kill myself in the process?

You wouldn't kill yourself unless you drank the beer, felt a bit tipsey, tripped over your fag packet and impaled your eye with the screwdriver puncturing your brain and therefore killing yourself.

More likely you will end up drunk and with a pile of bits of golf interior and a short temper.

speakers and sub wiring is a piece of piss. if you can't do something like that yourself then you will seriously struggle with your mk2 ownership, when things inevitably start to go wrong.

Long thin metal skewers for kebabs. Always work wonders for me.
