waht sort of warranty are VW going to provide for the repair bearing in mind its a 6 year paint warranty (or something along those lines)

thats were the rubber sits. dont know yet paint job looks not so good there. i got the car new so know so no the history.

so the rubber has worn away at the paint ?, perhaps doors are pulled in to tightly on the latch ?, or are they left to get dirt ingrained into them ?

Anyway not good that, hope you get it sorted to a satisfactory manner

You say you bought the car new!?

Was it an import or a UK model?

The reason I am asking is that there was some controversy over VW's being left at ports for up to 18 months (salt + water = not good!) and then being sold on as newly registered cars via import into the UK!
