Steering wheel cowling

does the steering wheel need to come of to remove the bottom cowling piece ?, or even the top piece for that matter

Have you had a quick look in TT's maintenance section PDF's there are quite a few  on the steering perhaps one of them could give info about the cowling.  :undecided:  :smiley:

No the cowling does come off without wheel removal. 

The Doc posted  in one of his legendary threads "how to"

i have found the source of my scraping noise when turning, i found that if i move the cowling a little the noise goes away, so it must be something under there

No the cowling does come off without wheel removal.

it may be been lost in the forum crash shaun :sad:,  its really easy to come apart,  there are some workshop manuals on here from T_T.

hmm, i thought some of the bolts you need to remove are behind the wheel ?
