bulkhead grommets for one.. but if its dcoming directly in form above lift the scuttle. acc and clutch cables go into bushes that are horizontal, as the cable goes directly downwards.

on mine i noticed a cable and some dirt had formed a 'dam' to the right of the ECU bracket, I've lifted the cable up and secured it, and cleaned out the crud.  this seems to have stopped my leak!  apparently it can also come in from the plate under the ECU bracket, since this is a big hole at the factory with a plate glued on top, worth a look.  Also the top corners either side of the screen where the wings attach are a real bad rust spot, well worth a look!

yeah, mine was crudded up by that cable but water could flow - shall have to lift the ECU out to look underneath

MAtt, cables seems ok, but will grease around them which should just make sure

I agree with jonny on the blank under the ecu, I used to have a mk2 that leaked like a seive on the drivers side. On investigation I found it to be the sealant that had peeled off round the blanking plate under the ecu. I ran a line of fresh silicone round there and it was sorted, nice easy fix that one.
