Spoke to the dealer last week and he confirmed that they would be sent out direct to owners. He couln't give me a date though.

I think we need to get a bit more organised with this one... do you think a letter with several Ed30 owners names on it and several phone calls by the aforementioned would do the trick?  Or maybe a phone call and letters/evidence to Watchdog - I can see VW bending over backwards if that happenned.

I must say, I'd agree to that - having been duped into thinking it was a 1500 only production run !

I too have a number of e-mails from VW confirming the plaques are in production. Having now just read this thread I have fired off an e-mail. Will report back once a response in received.
