Edition 30 Plaques

They actually called me to confirm they were sending them out soon when I enquired via email

Thank you for your email regarding the plaque for Golf Edition 30 owners.

  

I can confirm that every owner of an Edition 30 will receive a plaque.   The plaque is to be fitted inside the vehicle and fitting instructions will be provided with the plaque.

  

On checking our records I can confirm that your new registration number ******, is not registered on the Volkswagen database.   In order to update our records, could you please take your V5 with the new registration number into your local Volkswagen retailer.   They will then update this information onto our systems.  

  

Should you have any further queries regarding this issue, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I can confirm that your vehicle registration number ***** is now registered on our systems.   Parkway  Volkswagen may not be aware of the plaques as they will be sent directly to the owners of the Golf Edition 30 vehicles.

so those of us like me with official letters from VW are liars !!!

Would seem to be par for the course regarding VW UK customer services.  I too am having a fcuking nightmare with em, on a different range of issues, I hasten to add.  Twisting facts is another ploy VW UK CS seem to use!

Sorry guys, wasn't implying anyone was lying at all - that was from the horses mouth at VW customer care this morning, they were to be honest rather unhelpful with all of my queries.  They stated that there would be no edition 30 plaques and that the only "numbered" golf of recent years was the 25th Anniversary Mk4.  I'm sorry if anyone has taken offence by the post it wasn't meant at that - just to have had a scarcastic undertone.  I have been keeping a keen watchful eye on all the "plaque" threads over the last few months and have seen the emails sent to other forum members - I unquestionably believe them.  I was just stating what the chimps at customer care stated.

my letter from vw uk dated 16 th may 2008 states that " every edition 30 will be supplied with an individual plaque for their vehicles , however the process will take between 3 and 6 monthsfor the production and distribution "   i think as many ed 30 owners as poss need to e mail or ring vw uk  cust services and lets find out whats going on !!!
