yeh thats right, but do i need to undo these to get the bottom arm off the suspension leg to remove the drive shaft or can the arm be levered down?

found out yesterday that the problem was not CV joint or driveshaft. The fault seems to be down to the Coilover losing its gas and therefore not returning to its proper position after going over a bump. This then is causing the wheels to vibrate. So rather than a cheap fix of £40 its costing me £200+ for a full coilover kit.

It seems i dont have any luck, after fitting the new coilovers on the front the noise and wheel vibration went away, but after about 3 weeks it has come back and is doing the same thing again. Going to me mates garage this morning to have a look at it, damper still seems to be doing its job, but can see the wheel vibrating/juddering when moving back and forth slowly. Im hoping we can find the fault and finally put a end to the problem. If not may look at selling the car, which i dont really want to do.

I don't see the point in doing that.......  Your next car could be worse!!  I'm sure your mate will get to the bottom of it, & it will be all smiles again. I know it's depressing, ATM (I'm getting frustrated with mine, too!), but when she's running sweet again, you'll be glad you kept her! :afro:

well went to the garage on saturday and couldnt pin point the fault or any idea of what is causing it. Going to another mates this week to get a second opinion. He seems to think that the new suspension will be ok as it is still rebounding fine and there is no sign's off leakage. He thinks maybe the bottom arm or ball joint could be the cause. Still very strange why it would cause the wheel to vibrate/judder.

Oh well back to the drawing board, will be putting my plans to sort the bodywork, detail the engine and get a different remap on hold until i get the problem sorted. Oh and Tax the end of the month, best make sure i get that.

just read a post about Poly dog mount bushes. With my car having poly dog mount bush could this be causing vibration down the driveshaft to the wheel?
