How close were you to the crest of the hill and how close was you to the Police car?

if you overtook a car before the crest of a hill with a car coming the other way you're lucky he din't do you for careless driving.

A good 3 sec before he passed me after I had completed the overtake. Just to give you some idea i drive this road 4x a day. Its about a 2mile strech and have actually overtaken up to 6 cars on this strech (not in one go ofcourse). I just wish they would make it clearer what the speed limit is!! The number of people who do 30 onthis strech is a joke!! With traffic coming the other way, sometimes its just not possible.

Unless you're mad or lucky, they almost always will catch you.

3 times previously they have tried and failed, so i think I will take my chances. im not mad so im not going to risk my life but if they aint got my plate and im a stones throw from home then im gonna punch it. Esp as i always have the batcave at the ready

Does the crest of the hill have the solid white line coming up to it?

I can't see the plods issue if you indicated overtook pulled in before any overtaking restrictions and then there was another 3 seconds before he passed you as you would have been around 150yards apart as you pulled back in.

Nope. just a usual dotted white line and no overtaking restrictions. i have been thinking about why he wouldbe so pi$$ed off and the only conclusion I can come to is that as I was on his side of the road as he came over the crest of the hill my xenons would have probably been shinning very brightly into his eyes. That maybe why he was fuming when he finally caught up... but who knows, maybe he was just pi$$ed at the fact that I was in a VW and he was in a crappy Vauxhall!! Tw4T!!!

I get pulled from time to time, sometimes for my driving but mostly because of my age. Being quite young they seem to like to pull me for a few checks which really really pisses me off!! Like people say you get good cops and bad cops but invariably they are complete idiots who I have no time for whatsoever. I have a theory that the idiots were bullied as children and they are getting revenge on motorists. I got wound up and lost my cool once and that just got me into more trouble. If I get pulled now I just keep calm and agree to everything they say.

Only ever been pulled over twice, once for having someone on my roof (dont ask, long story) and the other was for not having a seat belt and apparently not having insurance (which I did) so I guess I have been pretty lucky with the fuzz. I bet get pulled on my way to Loughbough tonight now lol
