Well this was the second attempt, and I am happy with it.

First time was a right Fcku UP and I hated looking at the damn thing, as soon as the weathers better il fit it in.

Glad its done as Ive got GTA4 to mess about with for a while :-)

Ok,
The rubber around the sunroof was sprayed with matt black, it took ages to dry. I put it back on the car and used a clothes line to fit the headliner back in (you know the method to fit windows with older seals, like mk2 golfs have?) This carpet is thick so the sunroof requires a litle more force, however the electric sunroof still moves it fine,

These trims are all gloss black, I have another set though ready for painting matt black to match the original black trim. Gloss looks CR*P

The headliner was SO annoying to fit, you need at least two people. I put it through the boot and used the rear trim panel to hold it in place at the rear, GF was holding it up from the front while i used the clothes line to fit the sunroof rubber. This entire job needs lots of time, so allow for it.

In relation to the handles, its holding up fine. the sunroof holds the front half up great, the rear is ok, however I think it may be worth fitting the rear handles to be sure. acoustic carpet should be able to fit in the handle recesses without creasing!!
If you dont have a sunroof you should USE your grab handles!

when you put the carpet on the headliner, take your time and do it in stages! if you use the impact adhesive as i did get plenty on the headliner and a little on the back of the carpet AND ALLOW IT TO GO TACKY!

Ebay seller - wercarmats he supplied me 1.4 X 2.5 meters of this stuff for £25 delivered, came the following day A*

Nelds, you could use that suede on the sunroof so your panels match + the sunroof will move more freely :-)
