Uprate the TIP, reasons are straight forward

Aftermarket ones gradually drop from 3" to 2" which us a smoother transition and aids the airflow. OEM one drops halfway too 2" and it is restrictive in terms of how it bends and reduces.

As for aftermarket, I'd head for the cheaper ones, even the eBay £90 by various motorsport companies are good. They are made in coupled silicone which is 3-5ply, on TIPs its usually 4-5ply making it difficult to bend, collapse or cave in, even under stress and vacuum. I have used 3ply silicone and that refuses the bend, so imagine what an extra layer or 2 would do.

Its not like vacuum silicone which will collapse easy as the diameter increases.

But I can't imagine how the badger5 would be superior, as I have never dealt or used there products.

cheers mate, really appreciate thast reply, emailed a guy on ebay about one, want a black one idealy but blue would be good also, so ill see what he has, his price is 54 quid plus 8 postage!

Back on to the gauge, Ben has come up with this which i love



He has done it so it points towards me unlike the other way which is in the vent and does not direct the driver of the car
Will finish it with some black finish or carbon and see how it looks

No problem, I've had forge and two ebay TIPs in front of me, one was demon motorsports and then another brand. They where cheaper in price but quality was near enough the same so I can't justify the price of another product for the sake of a Nike tick.

Go black it makes sense, I had my engine in all blue and absuletely hated it and redone it all back to black for a OEM look.

What you doing with the IC's?

he only has a blue one ??  rest of the bay is black, even got new engine cover with the all silver writing to get rid of the RED 5V TURBO bit on the S3 ones

iv got a front mount IC, which we are gonna fab up the piping, will use Black hoses on here where we need to. i want the cooler to fit a certain way, basically no modding of the bumper fins if possible.
