So, would the local plod know any different? Or more likely would he get his monthly quota of tickets and telling offs by mistaking these cool lights for front fogs?  :undecided:

....LED DRL's are NOT foglights. European law is currently going through so that ALL new cars after a certain date will have DRL's as mandatory.

Daylight Running Lights are not the same as Fog Lights (use of which is illegal unless poor visibility).

About 18 months ago I responded to a consultation document issued by the EU on the permanent use of dipped headlights.

95% of the UK responses were against the idea even including the Government's response.

Reasons given were increased fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.

Motor cyclists were very opposed as headlights are one of their main unique means of indicating their presence.

Lo and behold earlier in February the Road Safety Minister , a Jim Fitzpatrick, announced that from 2011 all new vehicles will have to be fitted with dedicated daylight running lights as required by the EU directive now issued.

Consultation clearly was a waste of time and our Parliament is yet again shown to be impotent in the face of the European Super State.

....I think you'll find that LED DRL's will be mandatory and NOT the use of dipped headlights. Motorbike headlights will still be much stronger and so more visible than DRL's.

LED DRL's would only use a fraction of the dipped headlight power anyway

NO people the grey gti and those R32's have been massacared, they are .
very camp styling. If anything the law should be changed to ban them as they are gross.
each to their own, but if i saw that grey gti I'd piss myself laughin.

If Phil and a few others who own a grey GTI were to see that i dont think they would be too happy....sometimes i feel some views and opinions are just best kept towards myself.

Oh and the DRL's are awesome!
