best door speaker upgrade for mk4

hi. i'm new to the ice world and am looking to upgrade my door speakers in my mk4 gti . the ones there are prtty good but a bit farty at the top end. whats best for a straight swap ?

Whats your budget?

If yours is like mine you will need to get some pods as my standard speakers/pod were an all in one unit. Not expensive though.

If you like clarity you should also think about amping them.

Correct

how would he be able to do that then.

In mine the standards speakers were built into the pod. if you mount the speakers straight into the sheet behind the door card, depending on the size of the magnet, the window may hit it on the way down.

I meant correct, as in yes you need the adaptor to fit market speakers :)

took my car to halford and they couldnt get the speakers out the front door said they were rivited in  :huh:

ay they are rivted; need to remove the metal panel i believe; best off trying to do it yourself or take your car to an ICE specialist
