Is your car standard? Could be Lack of boost, A remap and a carbonio air intake would help. Dont know too much about these spliter dv's tho.  :undecided:

if its recirculating, you wont get the"ptshhhh" sound. it will run alot better as there is not restriction like on the bosch plastic valve.....

does it hold its boost properly when you florr it in 5th, at about 110mph?

Its a forge splitter dv it dumps some air into the atmosphere and some back into the system.

acoording to forge u cant adjust the sound the adjuster is how hard the spring is set inside u adjust this to get it to hold the boost properly apparently i have moved it about and test drove it but if u got to far  way the car dosent seem to pull properly

hmmmmm.... ive heard about these split valves, but never really understood....... ive got an HKS SSQV on mine, which is a Atmospheric, but i have pipework to turn it into a recirc when i want to....

when it is recirculating, it makes a wicked sound still, but even when its atmospheric, the myth about it messing up is complete rubbish! it just makes your car run richer thats all, but all turbo cars run rich --- thats a legend!

in my opinion, i feel that split DV's are overated and well.... pointless...... you either want it going in, or going out..... a split just causes confusion~! lol!

Its not complete rubbish!! I quote from forgemotorsport :

"  The Splitter is a truly remarkable valve that gives a combination of blow off and recirculation valve operation all at the same time and has been specifically designed for the many VAG 1.8T applications. This means you get all the noise of the blow off valve whilst retaining the compatibility with the recirculation requirements of the engine management system "

It may not always throw on a light on the dash but you engine Will not run correctly with an atmospheric dv.
Ask any one on here its been proved time and time again!!
