hi all, fetted a new head unit in my mk3 - i have wired it up so the yellow goes into the yellow and red but once you take the key out the head unit wont switch on and also when you turn the ignition back on all the settings and station presets are gone. i am thinking it might have something to do with the clifford alarm cutting all power when armed?

Vw's and Vauxhalls have this problem with the positive wiring needing changing around.

Good news. Don't know why they don't all make the wiring the same way.
