from this [not the best of all pics as i've just pinched a few from matt's project thread.. car was amazing in real life!!! and i was totally gobsmacked when he called me with the bad news

Matt and co passenger both got out of the car safely, altho they mnaged to rescue nothing, not even matt's house keys from the fire. needless to say he is totally gutted.

thats gotta be the worst feelin ever seein your pride andd joy go up in flames right in front of you, proper gutted for him but glad everyone got out safely

Most people felt sick  :sick:when they heard this happen!
Matt's was a rare Ottinger G60 he took two weeks off work before ED38 to finish her off even got it MOT on the friday before he came down on saturday.
The whole of M1 North to South was closed down due to this fire.
I know the fella spent most of his free time and cash doing this car which makes it even more gutting for him!

not entirely sure diane. could be one of a few things. :( i couldnt believe it, and i was one fo the first to hear about it, so no one could confirm if it was true or not... :( RIP Gina.

I supposed the main thing is that they got out ok and no one was injured - but still that's a horrible thing to see - hope he was insured to the bollocks - at least he'll have funding for the next project that way! Although I bet it's more the hours that went into than the money that hurt  :cry:
