gutted for the dude. my cabrio beetle ended in a fire after 2 years of work so i can feel for this guy. mind you my car was nowhere near as nice as his. i still get paranoid if i smell smoke when im driving.

he must feel so so empty but like everyone is saying, at least noone was hurt

As you know there is a fund going around for the guy he actually owns/built "Dubforce" and to be honest I'm not sure if he will want anything to do with Dubs after this tragic accident.
Hopefully he will get back on his feet as he does have a strong character.
It could have been a fuel line or a leaky injector hard to tell after that, but as we all say the fella and his passenger managed to get out quick time soon as he saw the smoke from the vents running away.
There was some equipment and stuff that went in the blaze also which didn't help

I always carry an extinguisher and have done for most of my driving life. Except for company cars that I didnt give a sh!te about!
I think also that if I had spent 3 years building that car I would have made sure fundamental things like injectors or fuel lines were in top order!

Yes I heard all about it from the main stage Sunday morning!

A piddly little fire extinguisher will not put out most fires in a vehicle. Maybe if you dropped a cig on the seat and it set on fire. When an engine goes up it just goes so you carry a big 6 litre AFFF fire extinguisher around then do you Len?

what so everytime you drive your car you check every fuel line, all the electrics and what have ya?
I doubt very much Len..
I don't carry an extinguisher, does that mean if my engine went up in flames Id deserve it?
I just think that when something like that has happened to your car, you don't need someone who doesn't even know you giving you a lecture..
Sh!t happens, you can not be prepared for everything when it comes to driving a car..just don't think it was necessary for you to say that like, give the kid abit of slack, he's gonna be well fcukin gutted..
