again, just reving the engine in nutral, handbreak on!!, lol. when driving it sounds fine..

WTF are you doing reving it in neutral! Stop it!

Stop reving it in neutral!

You can cause considerably more engine wear by reving it with no load.

You can also send your turbo to a very early grave.

I'm burying my head in my hands with sad amazement.  Please - stop fcuking reving your car in neutral!

At nearly 39,000 miles the engine still sounds 'diesel-ey' when sat idling. It's how they are supposed to sound. I happened to get chatting to a neighbour when garaging my car the other day and the chat went on a bit....Actually a lot. The point is that my engine never skipped a single beat when left idling for what must have been a full 10 minutes. Apparently it's the FSI injectors etc (so I'm told).

Quite a different story out on the open road with Milltek Non-Resonated and Carbonio intake and Neuspeed turbo pipes

I like the fact that the GTI is quiet in town or at low revs but can utter a deep growl with revs.

Fairy-nuff.  It's just that you posted on three or four occasions of your "antics".

I had to express similar concerns on another forum, another poster had just bought a Golf GT 1.4 TSI, and wondered why it wouldnt rev over 3,000 rpm in neutral when he held the accelerator to the floor!
