Why do you want to know?
It depends what brief I give to the engine builder, which I havent finalised yet.

If you've researched you would know. :undecided: CR affects your choice of cam and abillity to achieve your goal of 200hp. And what pistons you buy.

I dont need to research it in that detail.
As said that will be up to the engine builder and the brief I give them.
I have looked at pistons and JE or Wossner do various CR types up to 11.4
They may need to deck the block and maybe a twin layer gasket etc.
There are options.
Those kind of things I will leave to the experts.

So long as the experts are experts and not just good salesmen.

200bhp is one thing, but what about the torque?

Here is a genuine 200+ bhp from a 2.1 16v on KJet:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7edkPLvtoI8
In order to achieve this 200+ figure it required ~164lbft (222Nm) @ 6500rpm

To make 200bhp this is the torque required for a specific engine speed

rpm    lbft       bhp
5000   210.1   200
5500   191.0   200
6000   175.1   200
6500   161.6   200
7000   150.1   200
7500   140.1   200
8000   131.3   200
8500   123.6   200

If I add up everything I want and buy it myself and then do the assembly myself it doesnt work out much cheaper than just handing it over to an expert!

I'm not going to say anymore as I know I have chosen a highly respected engine builder with an excellent reputation.

Go ask Brad how much he has spent!
