well i know its a pritty obvious question i guess the only way is to smash the glass to get to the bonnet release, but as i have already delocked the doors and i may be buying a fully smooth tail gate are there any other options than this? not sure if its worth just getting my tail gate half smoothed like the badges and wiper hole and leaving the lock?  :undecided:

Do what the guys do with large stereo in cars, add an additional battery, which will act as secondary battery if main one does die. :)

you could fit 2 wires to the battery terminals, and have them dangling down near the chassis leg.  Obviously secure them and cover the bare ends, then if the battery dies get underneath, peel back the covering and connect your jump leads :)

or if you can reach, connect the red jump lead to the starter motor +ve, and the black one to somewhere on the chassis ;)

the only issue would be if you allowed the +ve terminal to short on something ;)
Any live wire will do, for example you can get car jumstart kits which plug into the cigarette lighter of both vehicles.  Can't say I'd be too happy running starter ampage through the cigarette lighters though

You could use Anderson sockets , Some Race cars use them as a jumper and they trucks i used to work on did , have one end attached under the car , other with some crocodile style ends and the male part of the anderson socket
