No Heating!!

I got no heating in my car. I've just changed the thermostat, but still have no heating in the car. all the pipes seem to warm up ok, no heating in the interior of the car.

what it be?? hopefully its not the heater matrix??

use the search there is alot of information on this site about having no heat.

I don't have heaters, but just flushed coolant and replaced with new stuff and it seems a bit better (though may be imaginig it)

It could be:
lack of coolant
bypass valve buggered
heater matrix broke

I'd suggest removing the bypass valve and replacing it or bypassing it (lots of information on here bout that too) and see where you are from there.

if your carpet is wet then your matrix has probably blown.

bypass valves are for girls. replace those with some central heating pipe :evil:

check for leaks in the cooling system. You can get air in the system with leaks

does take a while to bleed the system

After taking mine out earlier,it's definitely more heat in the sytem. However not as hot as i'd like but the car doesn't have a stat so it won't get warm that quick. So that may explain that.

I suggest flushing the coolant system and fill with new coolant. May improve the situation and then go from there...

well without the blower on the car has a faint heat coming through the vents (I take it this is engine heat) but as some as you put the blowers on it blows out cold air.

That seems a tad similar to mine now....before hand there was no heat at all. Could be you bypass valve, though i'm no expert just going out what people here have said...i'm going to do mine early January,along with new header tank + cap,but that's a whole
other story.
