Clipper advice
« on: 10 October 2006, 09:35 »
Hi everyone,

I've had a mk2 for a while now, and have recently got a house with a garage, so I'd really like to get a little cabriolet mk1 for pottering around in summer with the roof off. I dont really know a great deal about the mk1, so could anyone please give me a bit of advice about that sort of things to look out for when I go and see them?

I really prefer the look of the '80s models, and am not too bothered about it being rapid like my mk2, so what are the 1600 engines like? Specifically, the one i'm interested in seeing near me is a manual 1984 clipper 1.6 GL.

Cheers,

Hmm nice thread, thanks a bunch. I cant wait to see his face when I produce a gallon bottle of water to throw over the car :)

[There's no water shortage up here in Cumbria by the way, before people start telling me off...]

Cheers!
