the edition 30 is rubbish, ive seen the stats of the gti edtion 30 and r32 lined up  it wieghs nearly as much as the r32 stupid price and its only .3 of a second faster to 62 with the manual gearbox

so you ordered yours before me, from the same dealer, and yet, mine is built before yours!!!

Go figure!

When do they expect to get delivery for you? They reckoned mid Feb for mine to arrive at dealers

or to look at it another way, it's lighter, less expensive and quicker

They're both good IMHO...different characters for different needs

Yeah have to agree there.

It is an expensive car, but I reckon it will be a good un, and if you notice all the slaging is coming from existing GTi owners , being a new GTi owner I reckon this car will be very good to me.

Why would it weigh more than the GTi?

well, no...it's 70kgs less, (when both are DSG equipped)

All you're doing is comparing paper specs, when in reality no one here has driven the Edition 30 yet

Lets wait and see how they are in real life...I think the Edition 30 will be a quite different experience to the R32, which is also very good and was high up my list of potential cars
