I've asked my dealer for the black wheels too. I would suggest that we all ask (the ones that want them) and pressure VW to give them to us - if theirs a demand...... You should do this sooner than later as i would imagine they haven't quite started building yet for the uk market.

PS if you are in doubt which wheels to get check out this weeks autocar under the 'deals' section. There is a red 5 door Golf pictured with pescara type wheels. Looks weedy and plain

I personally think that the  black wheels look     but each to their own.... however, I do think it is very very short-sighted and inflexible of VW not to offer them as an option for the Edition 30... ditto leather and recaro seats

As far as I can see VW is ripping us off with this Anniversary edition.  :embarassed:
They cant come up with concepts like the GTR and rabbit and then expect us to dish out money like this on a car that looks like a poor teenager had a go modding. They should scrap the anniversary and come up with something decent!

Honestly. VW is complaining about losing sales and discontinuing ranges but they are creating sh*t cars.
I love my golf GTI but I would not pay for the anniversary. Black rims, photoshop rims or recarros

Ok rant over

Are we all looking for black wheels here (with the odd exception)? I think i'm going to be mighty p#ssed off if i don't get these wheels - I thought 19" BBS before (wifes fault!) but really i want dark wheels with silver paint work ( i could have a bonny langford moment here!). I checked yesterday too and  MTM wheels finished in titainium are £1400 before you even put tyres on them.
Just read this month Ultra VW and i can feel my money going on more mods for the air cooled way now and sticking to the boring looking pescari-whoggy flips!!! Who ever heard of pescara anyway....must be that VW were so p#ssed off with BBS after the warranty issues with the 25th that they have got jack the lad to make the'new' wheels.

Right - Bonnie is away to watch Myleen now!

Personally I think it will look awesome in black with the black rims.
