Ill - I agree that this colour thing is doing my head-in also :undecided: I have ordered the red but am worried about the long term wear on flat colours  I am trying to go for the retro-look but can this thread come to a conclusion about the Grey (black and white are both out for me) - black to hard to keep clean, white to easy to keep dirty

Steel grey - I rang the dealer to add the multifunction steering wheel and almost changed the colour from pearl black to steel grey but copped out just as I was about to say it....   :lipsrsealed:

Telephone preparation is EVIL it looks  like a halfords add on DONT DO IT MAN!

Steel grey is fecking lush man I tell you

This looks bad enough - then you have to plonk and adapter for your phone on it then your phone clicks onto it - nasty

Sorry about quality of photo!

I assumed that it looked something like that which is why I had NEVER considered it before, but then I thought, 'maybe I'm wrong' but obviously not.  Defintely no telephone preparation then.   As for steel grey it certainly looks really nice in a lot of photos.  My only worry is what if I opt for it then regret it after seeing an evil looking pearl black monster GTI

I think the colour coded bits on the edition 30 will be lost if you have it in black which is why i think steel gray is the correct option. I maight be wrong though.

thats the best mk3 ive seen..ever! its just clean and subtle..

Hey guys

Found a link to this thread on another site, so thought I would pop by

Ordered my Edition 30 back on the 1st Nov through Specialist Cars VW, the local Aberdeen dealer...I'm told that mine is the 2nd order to be placed with them, with estimated delivery available from late January/early February

After a bit of deliberation, have settled on:

Candy White 3 door 6 speed manual
    Bi-Xenon headlight option
    ipod preparation
    Parking sensors
Multi-function steering wheel and Highline computer

Needed to lie down after totting up the cost of it all

After coming from a BOSE equipped 2003 TT 225, swithered about the RCD500+Soundpack, but the feedback all over seems to say that it's not really worth it

I held back from ordering a similar specced Candy White GTI earlier in the year as I guessed there would be some sort of 30th Anniversary model, and the TT wasn't a bad replacement for the last year

Good choice though - black or silver wheels if you have the option?
