i personally like both alpine and kenwood, i have alpine sub and kenwood amp but yeah all about taste, get yourself down to a good audio shop or place with some good installs and listen to the quality.

Nowt wrong with Kenwood or Alpine!
I would suggest though that its best if you can to keep with the same manufacturer.
I've got Sony in the Golf and Kenwood in my 405.

Cheers for that! Not totally happy with it because some sounds do "confuse" it a little, but at least there is no distortion at high volumes!
I only chose Sony coz they are standard HU's so when I changed that way back (first thing I did) I chose Sony. That was the only logic.
If I wanted to spend loads of money then I would have chosen different.

ello,in my time ive had pretty much everything amp and sub wise in 1 of my many cars over the years.i had a jbl 1200w sub and the mahooooosive 1200watt amp with the perspex front and orange sides.i thought jbl were the worst out of them all,had kenwood not great, pioneer were ok. best are rocky fosgate without a doubt! i recently went budget and got myself a mutant amp and sub package from halfords which i am more than happy with! out of the more expensive ones i still prefer the cheaper alternative!
coz then if its not loud enuff buy 2!!
