The Boxster's image problem is solely down to Clarkson's comment that Boxster drivers are just those that can't afford a 911 - which is ridiculous.  My Dad had a series 1 Boxster S and I took the mick out of him something chronic when he got it....until I drove it.  It is surprisingly quick, planted and sounds lovely.  He now has a series 2 Boxster S on 19"s and I love it even more.  If it were my £50k I wouldn't buy either a Boxster or a 911 though.

I dont think it is a mans car, though I wouldnt turn a boxter s down. If i was spendin that kind of wedge on anything Id rather get a used 911 that a newer boxter
