cheers overseer. Now to figure out how to wire that little lot up.
Here's a piccy of it laid out on my bedroom floor with my old heady in there to fill to space.
I don't think I'm gonna be able to wire up the mk3 clocks to the mk2 loom. so I'll look into leaving my white dialed clocks that glow blue at night in. The new oil pressure gauge I bought last week will have to move to the A pillar on a double pod with the oil temp gauge soon to arrive so the boost gauge can sit next to the headunit in that little 'made for' space.
Due to the new Kenwood MASK stereos having the controls stuck out on the back of the blank panel it leaves a couple of lines out of view when mounted high up in the mk2. Hopefully in this dash that won't be a problem. I also plan to mount my in-line bass controller in one of the blank covers by the heated window switch. the HWS should be easy enough to wire up as I'll look what the mk2's is like and just solder on the new plug sourced from the dashless mk3.

I'll be writting a huge article on how to do this for all you people out there that are thinking about it so don't worry* I sugest if you are thinking about a mk3 dash swap then go take it out yourself and learn how it came apart. that's half the battle knowing exactly what goes where. also make sure you get everything that's there. I'll pop back out to the scrappy tomorrow and take a pic of the car I took the dash from to show you what you need to take.
