Hopefully you don't mean the standard mk1 box!

Sorry mate didn't think that the rod box was compatable, done some further investigating and it can be used highly :embarassed: don't listen to fools like me who haven't done such converstions. I sure you've looked into this conversion, and whats required, i just thought that the box had to be cable change and couldn't cope with nearly or double the power (depending on engine spec obv)
Again I sorry to have caused concern, there's loads of converion help on here, just not from me!  :embarassed:

However what with the know diff pin failure from the 020 box i'd stongly recomend and upgrade!!

This fella is using a seat ibiza 16v box, handy links:

the standard 020 'box will take 190-200bhp before it lets go. The conversion to 02A is fairly straight forward and will handle the increase in power.

you will need to have a custom mount made up in order to mount the 02A box to the mk1 mount. Not sure if these parts are on the shelf as I haven't researched it myself :)
