Missing some readouts on MFA
« on: 12 November 2003, 21:06 »
Distance driven, MPG and MPH appear as --- on my MFA.  The other readings seem fine.  Any ideas?

My MPH just stays on a random figure. Is this normal?

check the vaccum tube attached to the back of the clocks, if it aint attached then it cant read the MPG or the avg MPH

unless u have really small hands and arms that bend in several places the lot has to come out ;D

pull out your stereo, pull off all the switches and blanking plates, pull off the heater controls. There's 3 screws on the top (1 under the cage for your stereo and 2 above the dials) and 5 (I think) on the bottom. Once they're all out you can remove that cover. Then there's a screw either side of the dials to release them. reach round the back and unplug the speedo cable (this is a b!tch) then they should move around enough for you to reconnect the vacume hose

do you not have to take off the steering wheel as well?
