Collected my ED50 today from dealer in the North East 😀 so happy with the colour, there is so much black gloss going on that the red just fits perfect. Wheels compliment it perfectly. Centre spinning caps included as standard, no plaque :(

No pics yet as unfortunately drove it very sensibly straight to the detailers for front end (and side sills) PPF and ceramic coatings next week. Don’t expect it back until Thursday or Friday. Loved it though. info screen is actually really good, velour steering wheel nice, engine noise, nice 🤣 felt the nuts. My only question mark would be the ED50 badges, they are effectively stuck on, which, let’s see how that goes over time.

Sounds great! We need pics.

Yeah the 50 stickers do look pretty flimsy and cheap tbh. I can see them peeling and getting ripped off very easily.

The Clubsport sticker that runs the full length of the car on the ED40 still looks brand new after nearly 10 years, so I wouldn’t be concerned.

Thank you all for your kind words
We will double check Tuesday but was under the impression they are standard  and should be fitted  when they do the of
Will ring later to check and remind them about the blocks
Wendy first golf was a yellow mk1 not gti
The gti came years later on the mk2 in grey 8v only sold the parcel shelf last month  I then bought a 16v in grey for my self in 1989 and sold that 3 years ago along the way have owned mk1 2 3 4 5 6 7 7.5 8 now 8.5
So probably the last golf she will own as is adamant she is never going electric lol

Congrats! Shame about the lack of a plaque, if it was going to happened it would have been applied to your car as it's been delivered already. If you're getting front PPF, it may include the mirrors and they might apply PPF over the label, which should keep it fresh.

He wasn't impressed. Not sure if I should be worried now, although I don't follow any of these YouTube people, I still like UK magazine reviews. Also, Potenza Race are the semi slicks...

Mirrors are getting done as are the gloss black side sills. They said they won’t ppf over the label as you will see the bubble around it, but that was when we were discussing the rear bumper so I need to ask about that actually.

The Clubsport strip across door lines, right?

If they're not going the PPF over the logo on the wing mirror then how they're going the PPF the whole mirror? Take the logo off > PPF > re apply?

Was talking the spoiler. But yea I’ve asked about the mirrors. I’ll see what they propose. I’ve used my detailer for many years so all will be good. Not sure I want them to come off first case they don’t reapply the same. Let’s see. I’ll let you know
