Although I am curious why there is no centre cap on the wheel?

They are added during PDI, or during detailing.

Looks fabulous Garwen, you must be delighted! Great to see real customer cars coming through and not another press car / YouTuber car!
You should check that the other little "50" details are present and correct, because it wouldn't be unlike VW to "forget" one or more of them:

- the keys - do they have the "GTI 50" logos?
- the wheel centre-caps, they should be the spinner GTI ones, not the static VW ones
- the floor mats, the front mats should have the GTI 50 logos

These items would usually be in a bag in the boot and fitted during PDI.

Wise advice Joe

She said thanks  and is flattered as she’s been buying golfs for the last 40 years 😂😂😂😂

The years have been kind to her and obviously you have too! Lucky lady!
Granddaughter is a cutie as well.
She’s a year ahead of me, I’m on 39 years and bought my first at 19 (although my first, by chance, wasn’t actually a Golf but shared the same chassis, engine and underpinnings - it was a mk1 Scirocco GTI)
So a similar age, I hit 58 tomorrow, and don’t have an Ed50 to look forward to all wrapped up with a bow on it  😁

It’s a nice car for your detailer to get to do his thing with too, one of the very first UK Ed50’s
Definitely a car worthy of some special TLC

‘25 8.5R, ‘23 8R, ‘20 8CS, ‘19 135iX, ‘19 TCR, ‘17 Ed40, ‘17 GTD, ‘15 7R, ‘13 GTI PP, ‘11 GTI, ‘09 GTI, ‘98 Ibiza Cupra, ‘05 GTI, ‘06 Polo GTI, ‘04 GT TDI, ‘05 Fabia vRS, ‘02 GTI T, ‘03 Ibiza TDI 130, ‘01 Leon 180, ‘89 mk2 16v, ‘99 Ibiza TDI, ‘96 VR6, ‘98 Ibiza TDI, ‘92 VR6, ‘88 mk2 8v, ‘92 Polo G40, ‘91 mk2 8v, ‘89 mk2 8v, 205 GTI 1.9, ‘83 mk1 GTI, ‘80 Scirocco GTI, plus some others I’ve forgotten

It looks brilliant, Garwen!

Good pointers by Joe too. I also would ask to double and triple check they take out the transport blocks. Sometimes they ‘forget’

For the wheel caps, I was under the impression you had to the spec the £160 something option as dynamic wheel caps when configuring it? UK website doesn’t show it as standard. If not, well sh!t I spec’ed the wrong thing but adding that option, I didn’t know they were standard spec.
