What does tour speedo go up to?

why bother getting het up about top end speed anyhow, the closer you get to the top end of the car the further out the speedo is going to be, I.E. it says you are doing 140, in reality you are only doing 120.

There is only one way to measure the speed accurately on the cheap in a car, and that is a GPS system on something like a road angel.

My speedo goes up to 140mph. Not sure why some are 120mph and others 140mps. i need to fix mine as the rev and mfa don't work on mine the 140mph clocks seem to be a lot more rare though

yea i ve got the 140 clocks in mine and mines a 1986 8v but im not shore if they have been changed when i the tsr put in

my golf had 140 clocks in when i first got it then i put 160 ones in

You can just buy a normal set of 120mph clocks and swap your speedo into it

Mine is J-reg, 1990. it reads 120mph.
Wont do those speeds tho!

ive had 2 f regs and the newer 89 one had 140 clocks and the later one has 120 clocks which is an 88 :S but both go off the clocks gps is only good if you got the bottle to take your eyes off the road and look at it lol but at 70 in the new one(88) the gps says im doing 65 :S
