Check the spec label in your handbook, 230PS in KW is 169 so it should have that printed.

Dug out the manual…. This is the sticker

I’ve not got chance to get under it anytime soon to see from under it

169KW - so that's a PP model.

Mad how some don’t have all the bits…. Defo doesn’t have vented rear discs…. Mad as the dealership had no clue it’s a PP model. They literally know jack sh!t about anything they’re selling 🤦🏻

True about dealers, but in fairness most folk on car websites like this spend an eternity researching before they buy on one car, dealer staff deal with a multitude of models and specs. My conversation with the dealer was all around price and delivery lead times, not spec.
Dealer was really helpful in working through the lengthy order to collection cycle though.

I don’t think it’s quite as clear cut as saying 230ps / 169kw would be a GTI performance model - it’ll depend on whether the car is a mk7 or mk7.5, and the data sticker posted by @jc_tattooer_  in reply #22 above is presumably for the car in their forum signature details - a 2018 mk7.5 GTI. A 2018 mk7.5 GTI with 230ps / 169kw would be a non-performance model - see screenshots below from a 2016 (mk7 Golf) and a 2018 (mk7.5 Golf) brochures;

Pre-facelift mk7 GTI; shows standard power output as 220ps / 162kw, with the extra cost performance pack option increasing this by 10ps / 7kw

Pre-facelift mk7 GTI - extra cost performance pack option

Facelift mk7.5 GTI performance and non performance models; showing power output as 230ps / 169kw (non-performance model) and 245ps / 180kw (performance model)

2020 Polo GTI Plus; Pure White, DSG (because they all are)
Gone but not forgotten;
2016 Polo GTI; Blue Silk
2011 mk6 Golf GTD; Carbon Grey
2007 mk5 Golf GT (2.0 170bhp TDI version); Deep Black Pearl
2002  mk4 Golf GTI (the 150 bhp diesel version); Deep Black Pearl

Good point SR and well spotted. I must admit to having very lightly looked at this thread and was going by the title, not the info on jc-tattoer's signature strip. Hadn't occured to me that he/she wasn't the OP. The 7.5 doesn't have a PP option, there was the standard GTI which had the old PP power of 230PS and the GTI Performance model with 245PS. That would explain why there are no rear vented discs. So, apologies jc-tattoer, I should've paid more attention.

Spot on - just looked at the brochure (MY 2018), price list (MY 2019) and the order form from when I ordered mine 5 years ago (MY 2019), where has that time gone…..

Brochure Main Pages - named Performance in description, 245PS.
Tech Specs in brochure - named Performance Pack.
Price List - named Performance.
My actual order with the Dealer - named Performance.

Mine has ventilated rear disks.

I’d love some copies of the brochures, I asked in the dealer and they said they don’t supply anything anymore as it’s all digital
