If you're looking for a Mk7 (i.e not a 7.5) then cars built from week 22 (end of May) 2015 should have the winter pack fitted as standard, along with MIB2 sat nav and keyless entry.

Climate Screen is quite a rare option on the Mk7 as it was bundled in with the advanced phone prep which made it expensive. On the Mk7.5 it was available as a standalone option for £300 which is a bit more palatable.

I have the climate screen on mine. It was great in the recent icy weather, but I could probably manage without it if needs must. There are around 8 or 9 months a year when it doesn't get used. Putting the blowers on full for a minute or two does a pretty good job of clearing any mist on the inside.

I really wanted the climate-screen option but just couldn't find one when I bought my approved car in August on the colour car I liked, apart from the obvious advantages in winter I also wanted it to keep the car cooler in summer as that's also part of what the climate-screen is supposed to do.... can anyone confirm if it does actually have any advantages in direct sun?

Just talking about the climate screen does it automatically come on when you press the full screen blower button? I'm assuming it comes on but the icon won't show on the mib screen, that only shows if you manually turn the screen on?

I took the option of the climate screen and its not had much use, mainly as driving less and WFH more, and did live without and could do so again, but it works really well and at think £320 it was not an option that lose too much sleep over on spend to value.

You can enable it to come on automatically via the settings (at least you can in the 7.5)

Can't say I've ever noticed it coming on automatically when turning on the screen blower.

Yeah, it's worth speccing at that price on a new car but I don't think it needs to be a deal breaker IMO if a used car doesn't have it.

yeah mines a 7.5 TCR and it's enabled to auto come on. It says in the handbook it automatically comes on when full blower on the screen is activated but the icon doesn't show on the screen like it does when you manually turn it on.

In fairness it should be standard in a cold country like the UK.....

My lads Focus ST has it as standard, as did his previous Fiesta "Red" Edition.

Come to think of it most of the povo spec Focus's in work had it as standard......
