Its different but you get used to it. Also, I use voice control to switch between modes anyway...
i just use the buttons on the steering wheel to change source

Didn't know you could do that!

Time to dig out the manual!
Meant to post this for you Fred

On audio press up or down on the steering wheel, then find sources and vvv pops up 😉

Cheers, I had no idea about this either. Really like the green on the AID too!

I wanted a green car (like the old mk4 I had) but they don’t do that colour (the do a new green but that made me feel sick) so I’ll settle for the green dash/media 😃

Does selecting the source via the up/down button when in the Audio menu also work for the standard 8" Nav on the FL GTI or just the 9.2" Pro unit ?

Great - it was a feature that was quite frustrating on my current and previous GTD's. The steering wheel is crammed with buttons, and you can do most things on it, but you couldn't change the media source. Great to hear you now can.

I just need to find a quick way of getting to the top of the menu (which is where the back button is to see all sources). If I'm listening to music from the SD card and want to go to a different source it seems like I have to scroll through the alphabet to get to the back button (is that right Vwjap?). I guess in that case, I would probably go back to the main screen...

Another question please (sorry if this has been asked before - but this will be my first Petrol car in over a decade).

Out of interest, do you need to run the GTI (230ps version) on super unleaded or will it happily run on standard 95 Ron stuff (branded fuel, not cheap supermarket crap - so Shell, Esso, BP etc).

I can vouch for the pre facelift PP cars only requiring unleaded - can't see the facelift needing Super.
