Conti 5Ps are great tyres. Served me very well on GTI's and R over last 5 years. Michelin PS4S are better - on another level and worth it for the rescued noise and superlative pothole absorbing qualities alone, never mind the astonishing level of grip in wet and dry. Have actually transformed my daily commute.
Not the same car, but I found the Contis good when new but went a bit ordinary fairly quickly. Life was ok overall, but if a fair proportion of that was

, possibly not that great. I did buy quite a few of them as well, in various iterations (bar the very latest - 6?). As in a lot of them!
However, still probably better than the Bridgestones, so looking forward to them giving up
