The petrol cars seem to benefit from the PedalBox more than the Diesels in my experience.
The GTD does at least go when you brush the pedal initially (but then briefly feels a bit flat before the turbo kicks in with a vengeance) but the GTI in particular needs a moderate setting as its throttle mapping is almost too progressive and the power and torque curves are just so smooth. The R is a lot more revvy than even the GTI so needs a setting to take the initial deadness away but not too much assistance after that to keep the thing on a leash.
I found the GTI with a moderate setting went from feeling quite flat to a really responsive and torquey engine feeling much more powerful than the rated 230PS.
