i'll take plenty of pics of this next week at Frankfurt, got a bit of a dilemma as i friend has offered my his Cayman GT4 slot

not sure I get the dilemma,  27k GTi CS or 75K GT4 with a few essential options?

There's no decision to make, if you can afford it then go for the Cayman GT4 - stunning car and in a different league to anything Volkswagen can offer.

exactly my point, a hatch back or arguably the best car this side of the GT3 and GT3RS.  But even if it wasn't that great a car they would hardly meet in many of the same categories.

Agreed, depends on what wigit wants from a car - me, if I could afford it, I'd take the Porsche every day of the week!

I actually prefer this to the R in many ways.

A decent set of lightweight 18s and this will look spot on

This.

..and in black.

Good find.

It looks a lot better in the flesh than in early press pics. as is normally the case.
The interior details are generally quite subtle in typical VW fashion. Good effort VW!
It'll be interesting to see the price.

"Head round the back to give you a look at that as well"... "Not too different"... except maybe that huge spoiler and rear splitter.

As Exonian says, it does definitely look better in the flesh, than on press pics.  The question is whether the Golf R400 will see the light of day anytime soon, or will the Clubsport be the car to go for next year?

I thought it would be interesting to put forward the following questions to see how others felt:

1. Which car would you choose out of a Golf R or GTI Clubsport and why?
2. If you went for the GTI Clubsport would you get DSG or Manual and why?

I am toying with the idea of an Golf R at present, but the Clubsport does look tempting on the video link on this thread.  I am also toying with the idea of DSG as I have always had manual and fancied a change, but would like to know your thoughts on the matter before I delve in on my next car order.

Really liking that one in the video, surely those seats will be a option in the UK. I'm thinking of getting a R myself tho, i just keep arguing with myself if i should buy or lease.
