AGG engine cuts when warms up

It is a Y reg golf avant garde so Mk 3.5

Cuts out once it gets fully warmed up and then go up a hill. Starts up fine as soon as it has cooled down a bit.

Standard AGG engine 2.0 injection.

Been in more than one garage.

Had new distributor, no help.

Supposedly had a new crank sensor just before I purchased 18 months ago.

Tearing hair out at this point.

Let me guess, factory fitted alarm?

Don't think so. Never noticed one. No blinking light on the dash. What should I look for?

When you say cut out, does it loose power or cut out completely?

If it looses power completely....
How does relay 30 look?
Check soldering spots, if they look cold reflow solder.

It cuts dead. Sits dead til it has cooled off just a little. Then starts up a treat. Grr!

I will check the relay tomorrow.

Does it stay running if you keep the revs up?

Its the Crank Sensor. Replace that straight away.

I've seen new crank sensors fail within a matter of days. Cheap GSF copy crank sensors tend to last 1 year and a half.

I've experienced this fault before. Replace its with a Genuine one

Yep, I would scan it to be sure but patern sensors are pretty weak.
