You'll never guess what.....

At 2:30pm I rang the dealership up as I hadn't heard a peep from my salesman. He didn't answer, so I left a message basically saying I can finish at 3:30pm, so could he let me know for sure that the car is ready and i'll get straight there form work (it's half the distance from work to there as it is from home to there).

At 3:15 I still hadn't heard.so I rang again and the receptionist put a tannoy out for him, she knew I was calling to confirm pick up today. Instead of picking up, she came back with a message to say he was with a customer, but my car won't be ready today. So I came straight home. Seems a bit ignorant of him not to take a minute out to tell me himself, perhaps he'll ring before he finishes tonight to offer an explanation and confirm pick-up tomorrow.

Last time my car was a little late, it was because they were "surprising me" with free Autoglym (which was well applied, and presumably extended the time they nedeed with the car for that and the PDI). Hopefully it'll be more of the same - probably not though.

I paid £164 with ALA for 3 years VRI Plus Policy with a £20k maximum benefit. That's on my GTD valued at the time at £32575 (list price) and on a 3 Year PCP with VW finance.

R valued at £36k with a £20k benefit.

Just done a quick online quote with ALA - £221.

That's for 3 years Vehicle Replacement Plus Policy with £22,500 claim limit on £38255 (full list price at time of purchase excluding discount).

123 are far cheaper for the VRP, which means when ALA match and then beat by 20% of the difference, they are very cheap. They do the comparison while you are on the phone, when you say 123 were cheaper.

Revised RVI plus quote with £20k benefits is £200 which is ok, considering the list price.  Don't want back-to-invoice policy.  Nearer the time I'll get a quote from 123 then go back to ALA

Rang ALA just now. Yes, I was overcharged by £16. Should have cancelled BMW GAP, instead of transferring the one remaining year. They could have given the discount if I had contacted them within 30 days. So my GAP should have been £159 approx.

No. It was a stop gap thing whilst I was setting up my current business. I was far too knowledgeable about the product and didn't make any promises to customers that I couldn't keep to make any money.
