It's Pick Up Day!!!

That was the longest sleep ever I think. Felt like christmas eve when I was about 10. Collecting My GTI at 5pm today.

Its been 92 days since I ordered which I know isn't a huge amount of time compared to some people and I got lucky with stages 5a,5b,5c & 6 all coming in 7 days.

Cant wait to get my hands on it now. All the paperwork has been done so its just simply go and collect. The dealership has been very good and brought my collection day forward 2 days.

I have put all my iTunes library onto an SD card in preparation and I think the first 1000 will be difficult to behave myself.

I drove past the dealer last night and snuck in and got another picture. There will be plenty more over the next couple of days.



Today I have a day off so I'm sure it will drag like hell. Going to chill out and watch the golf on tv and try not think out it

Dealer just emailed me to tell me I can pick it up at 12.45. AHHHHH!!!!!! haha

Tomorrow afternoon for mine. The car is now booked into the compound at Tyne Dock so that it can be retrieved by the dealership. They are picking it up first thing tomorrow. I've been given a choice of numberplates, none were particularly memorable, a choice of most of ND15 HY (last digit), so I went for HYR, purely because it ends in an R.

Just been given instruction to phone VW UK to arrange the 5 day insurance so that they can tax it.

Just need to get hold of Ronald so that I can see what (if any) goodwill gestures are forthcoming. About 27 long hours for me.
