You can do it on skoda cars with mib2 so no reason why you can't on a vw nav unit.

I don't think anything will retro fit from mib2 to mib1 units.

New hardware, so unless VW make the spares available for upgrades (which seems unlikely given their track record on such matters) then no.

Tech Pack for the R Estate is £1240 but it is £1840 for the R Hatchback!
