Touareg?

Got one! nearly backed out of getting it due to a break in at home to try and steal the R but thats another story,my wife was adamant that the R was going so took the plunge, it's an awesome piece of kit but i just can't get the GTI off my mind! I really liked the R, who wouldn't? It's a superb car to drive fast but i never loved it. Nothings set in stone but might end up in a GTI with a little runaround for my wife.

One of these days i might keep a car for more than a year!?.. God i miss my mk6! :(

No mate, not a big fan of leasing tbh, just got a really good trade in due to the value of the car i was buying.

Jimbe, sorry to hear of the attempted theft of the R - seems a lot of that up your way, must have been very unnerving for you all

So you moved over to the 4x4 side of the fence, but sounds like you're counting the time till your back in a GTI

I'm gonna really miss my mk6 too, gotta to make the most of our last few months together

Jimble my dear: Sorry to hear about the attempted theft. What a terrible experience, but not as bad as some who have been mugged and car stolen, break-ins for the keys, violence and keys stolen etc., etc.

All I can say about thefts of Rs: Wish I had got something else now. Same dramas ensued when I got my BMW as they were being stolen at an accelerated rate.

Now what we need is the R400/420 to be released ASAP so that the blighters concentrate on these and leave the lowly Rs alone.

Was quite traumatic tbh, my wife and newborn son were still in hospital so was alone in the house thankfully?? I was woken at 2am on the dot by a bloke going through my bedside table trying to find my keys!!!! I chased him down the stairs but didn't catch him unfortunately, i must've been so tired from being at the hospital all day every day for for a week that i didn't hear them break in through the back doors and rummage through my kitchen! I've got them on CCTV which i've given to the police so hopefully something might come of that? If i'd have just been a bit quicker i could've kicked him down the stairs!!

Scum...

OMG. Really upsetting to read this. How awful for you. Makes me sick just thinking about what you must have gone through. Bloody brastards.

My god Jimble, how terrible for you.  Thank god your wife and baby son weren't at home at the time, but traumatic enough for you.  Fingers crossed the Police pick the little b******s up.

On a lighter note, congratulations on becoming a dad, hope you and your wife are enjoying parenthood, and Jimble Junior is doing well.  Hope you haven't managed to fill up the Touareg with kiddi crap yet

Off topic again   but some things are more important
